A multi-award winning pianist, Nikolai Lunganski performs with the world's leading orchestras and in the world's most prestigious venues and festivals. These include the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Wiener Symphoniker, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Saint-Pétersbourg, the Orchestre National de France, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the St. Louis Symphony and the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra.

He is the artistic director of the Rachmaninoff Festival in Tambov (Russia) and a strong supporter of the Rachmaninoff Domain-Museum in Ivanovka. Nikolai Lugansky studied at the Central School of Music in Moscow and at the Moscow Conservatory with Tatiana Kestner, Tatiana Nikolaïeva and Sergei Dorensky. In April 2013, he received the honorary title of People's Artist of Russia.
