Timchenko Foundation and Neva foundation have the pleasure of supporting the european tour for the launch of the new album of Cecilia Bartoli " St Petersburg ", released on October 13th, 2014.
The vocalist takes her listeners in an unpublished trip on the discovery of baroque writings, at the time composed in XVIII century for the empresses of the Court of Russia.
Thanks to the generous support of the Timchenko family Foundations, Cecilia Bartoli occurred in the sumptuous Gallery of Ice in Versailles for a worldwide preview of "St Petersburg" on October 06th, 2014.
Eleven forgotten writings coming from archives of the Mariinsky in St-Petersburg came out after more than 200 years, thanks to the personal research of Cecilia Bartoli. These lyric pieces, sung most often in Italian but also in Russian, were writen by renowned Italian and German compositors such as Dall' Oglio, Araia, Raupach, Manfredini or Cimarosa.
Cecilia Bartoli is accompanied on the album, as well as for her concerts, by the great specialist of baroque music, the leader Diego Fasolis, and the musicians of the orchestra I Barocchisti.
