Semianyki express – The very new show of Teatr Semianyki
After the triumph of their previous show on family and their stellar stint at the "Théâtre de Carouge" during the season 2012-2013, the troop of Semianyki came back to Carouge with their very new show, accepting the invitation of Neva Foundation.
This new creation full of dream and poetry is an imaginary trip by train taking the public into a crazy and funny World, leaving an amazing but happy feeling at the end.
Everything begins in the middle of nowhere, on a station platform where you go on board of the Semianyki Express in a completely weird and fantastic Russian World close to the ones of Gogol, with twinkles to silent movies and cabaret. Six buffoons represent alternately the railway personnel, the passengers and sometimes-supernatural people tying short-lived relationships at a breakneck pace. Every stage provokes laughs and launches smiles, as they can make everything: dance, mime, play, juggle and tell us impossible stories. Scenes are strung together; meetings are here and there at the pace's train, with punches, free falls and feet in the carpet.
Semianyki (= the family), their first show, will become the name of their company. All of them have the same energy as before, their language is universal, it is the force of picture and of movement, a festival of crazy situations. Taking emotion the wrong way and making laugh and cry whole theater.

The show takes place at the Theatre of Carouge from the 15th until the 20th of September 2015.
