Neva Foundation is very happy to be partner of the prestigious exhibit “Russian Switzerland” at the “Musée des Suisses dans le monde”, which illustrates more than words the strong relationship between Switzerland and Russia since two centuries.
The large art collection presented at the Château de Penthes brings a touching look on those artists describing their exile life on Swiss lands, their memories, their worries and their perception of history. The visible influence of the pictorial schools fulfills this informative journey for the delight of the eyes.
Mixing perfectly Russian and Swiss cultures in a coherent set, the original reversed look that offers « La Suisse par les Russes » allows us to express the mission of the Foundation from a unique and relevant perspective, and to close in a symbolic way this year of bicentenary celebration of Swiss-Russian diplomatic relations.
A selection of paintings and documents witnesses the importance of immigration and the Russian artist’s footprints in Switzerland, and of Switzerland on their works, such as Léon Tolstoi, Alexey Jawlensky, Ilya Repin, Marianne von Verefkin, Feodor Matveev, Nikolay Dubovskoy, Gerhardt von Reutern…
The exposition will take place from December 17th, 2014 until March 22nd, 2015 in collaboration with the Centre d’État des musées, the expositions ROSIZO and the Ministry of Russian culture.
